New to Importing? Seek Expert Advice first.
When importing items into Australia, you will not be required to have a license or any other kind of specific authorisation in the great majority of instances. On the other hand, an importer might need to get a permission in order to bring certain things into the country, particularly if the commodities are considered to be a biosecurity risk.
For the majority of commodities we can facilitate their entry into Australia quickly and simply through customs, with the exception of drugs, guns, and some products made from endangered or extinct animal species. Depending on the type of goods you’re importing, there may be specific requirements regarding licenses. An expert customs broker will help you understand if you need one and give professional advice on how to obtain one.

We navigate the legalities of your imported goods – Giving you peace of mind
Australian customs officers – no matter where in the country they are – are local authorities who know the ins and outs of imports into their city. By 2018, the number of imported goods entering Brisbane was around 62,000 tonnes per year.
However, this figure for Brisbane was far lower than those of Sydney and Melbourne which were both at around 200 thousand tons. Because they’re not considered part the public service, bonding institutions in Brisbane are easier for people to get hold of.
Despite this, an Australian Custom Clearance Broker in Brisbane is still legally obligated to navigate the legalities involved in importing goods into Australia, and we’re proud to be able to provide superior custom clearance services to a wide variety of clients, including individuals, SMEs, and large corporations.
Save money and time by working with an experienced customs broker.
If you import products to Brisbane without having enough information of the border controls, this might result in costly delays or even the destruction of your items, depending on whether or not they comply with the import requirements of the destination country.
If you work with an experienced customs brokerage firm in Brisbane, such as ECB, you may not only be able to save money on pricey import blunders, but you may also be able to speed up the clearing process and make sure that everything is in order before your goods arrive in Australia. We pride ourselves in our 100% quality service to customers guarantee, if you are not happy, we will make it right.

About the City of Brisbane
The City of Brisbane is the capital city of Queensland, Australia. It was founded in 1824, making it one of the oldest cities in Australia. The name “Brisbane” comes from the Aboriginal word meaning ‘between waters’. In 1770, Captain Arthur Phillip established the first European settlement at Sydney Cove. In 1825, Governor Lachlan Macquarie declared the area around Sydney Cove to be a new colony called New South Wales. This became known as the Colony of NSW (New South Wales). In 1842, the colony’s name was changed to the Colony of Queensland. On 1 January 1861, the colony was renamed again as the State of Queensland.
In 1865, Brisbane became the state’s capital. Since then, Brisbane has been growing rapidly. Today, it is the third largest city in Australia after Melbourne and Sydney.
